LUDWIG V. BEETHOVEN • Triple Concerto for Piano, Violin, Cello and Orchestra in C, Op. 56
PERFORMERS
Daniel Barenboim, Piano and Conductor
Guy Braunstein, Violin
Kian Soltani, Cello
West-Eastern Divan Orchestra
Amazing, emotional and god- like sounding cello by Kian Soltani, afterwards I read in the programme that he has studied with Sol Gabeta and plays with Anne-Sophie Mutter and Virtuosi – at age of 22! Mesmerized! Now tempted to find some other recording to listen again and enjoy beautiful conversation, –

ARNOLD SCHOENBERG • Pelleas und Melisande, Op. 5, Symphonic poem after Maurice Maeterlinck
My backgound is certainly insufficient to understand and fully enjoy Shoenberg, but seems I am coming closer to it, nevertheless, seems like a road to go to understand his language of expression. I will have my second attempt in further exploration this week while listening to Shoenberg interpretation by Zubin Mehta in Jurmala, and hope to discover and learn more. Curious!
